Meet Umbra Victus - Sir Valarian

Good afternoon; we are Umbra Victus and I am Sir Valarian the Valiant. I am a Paladin Knight of the Black Guardians and servant of Dol Arrah, the Sovereign of Sun and Sacrifice. I hail from Wroat and served in the Last War. My scribe, Issac, gave his life to save mine at the end of my service in the war, and I am forever in his debt, hoping to bring Light upon his name & rest to his memory.
When I first met the Vixens, it was just after I had awoken suddenly in the woods of a strange land with nothing but my armor, and Holy Avenger, and received an offer for a job to make some coin on what seemed to be a simple “Fetch & Carry”. I felt absolutely out of place as so much had changed from what I remember of the world in what I came to know as my 80 year absence. Certain customs and items were strange to me, and I didn’t really know how I fit into the world as it currently stands. But through our adventures, I am slowly learning - and have even made a joke or two as of recently, much to the surprise of my Tiefling traveling companion.
I have experienced and lost much in my short life, despite being as old as I am, and I will stop at nothing to bring comfort to those who are suffering, take up arms against that which is evil, and bring the Light of Dol Arrah into dark spaces. While this proved difficult at first with Orianna, I feel as if we have reached an understanding - I can see her plight and my goals are intertwined, and so have given my sword in defense of her life. I am now honor-bound (and to be honest, a bit more than a little attached) to this ragtag group of characters, a Family I guess you could call it - *rubs cheek, remembering a conversation with a Gnome* yes. Family.
